The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) recently announced a new partnership with Chemidex LLC (chemidex.com) – an online, industry-specific search engine designed to aid the research needs of industry professionals working in a variety of chemical and life science industries.

Last month, Chemidex launched their newest industry search engine: The Lubricant & Metalworking Fluids Cybrary, enabling lubricant and metalworking fluid formulators to quickly search technical data sheets and supporting technical information to find the raw materials they need to create the best products in the industry.

“Our partnership with STLE will enable us to better serve this important segment of the chemical industry by helping lubricant formulators accelerate their innovation processes,” said Matthew Perry, vice president of sales and marketing at Chemidex.

STLE members will have free access to the Lubricant & Metalworking Fluids Cybrary, providing them with an entirely keyword-searchable database of in-depth, up-to-date, technical product information, including: technical data sheets, material safety data sheets, formulations, technical articles, regulatory information, and single-click sample requests – all in one place.

“This is a great opportunity for STLE members to connect with this free, powerful resource that can make their research processes more informed and efficient,” said Ed Salek, executive director of STLE. “Being able to work together, Chemidex will ensure that STLE members get the most out of their Chemidex membership.”

STLE is an individual-membership society focusing on professional, technical, and scientific issues and needs. STLE is the premier technical society serving the needs of more than 10,000 individuals and 150 companies and organizations that comprise the tribology and lubrication engineering business sector.

Chemidex is a global leader in connecting product formulators with industry suppliers and their technical information, exactly when they need it. Chemidex also serves the research needs of formulators in seven other specific industries: Coatings, Adhesives, Inks, Personal Care, Cleaners, Plastics, and Food & Beverage.

Chemidex has also formed strategic partnerships with other leading professional associations, including: the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA), the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM), and the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
