Pall Corporation on October 23 unveiled its new corporate headquarters at 25 Harbor Park Drive in Port Washington, N.Y. Elected officials and dignitaries joined company executives and employees at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially inaugurate the expanded and renovated facility and celebrate Pall’s continuing commitment to Long Island.

The 276,000-square-foot facility combines Pall’s laboratory and administrative operations on Long Island – previously split between Port Washington and its former headquarters in East Hills – into a single location. This move has enabled the company to cut its local environmental footprint in half and significantly reduce its operating costs.

“Pall Corporation has been a proud member of the Long Island scientific and business community for over 60 years. Our operations around the world, encompassing more than 10,000 employees, are anchored by our roots here. Pall has grown into the world leader in the global filtration and separation marketplace. Our new headquarters building consolidates our Long Island scientific, sales and marketing organizations under one roof, providing important efficiencies that will improve customer service and further strengthen the company,” said Pall chairman and CEO Eric Krasnoff.

Designed by the award-winning Spector Group, the modern facility reflects Pall’s position on the cutting edge of its industry. The property houses more than 500 employees in state-of-the-art research and customer support laboratories as well as corporate management, sales and marketing offices.

Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, said, “This impressive structure calls for everyone to see that Pall views Long Island as a terrific place from which to run a global business. While Pall’s mark on our community and local economy runs long and deep, this project, which employed hundreds of workers, could not have come at a better time. We are grateful for Pall’s vision and continued investment in Long Island.”

Reflecting the company’s global commitment to environmental integrity, the new headquarters is more energy-efficient than the prior facility and requires substantially less energy and water to operate. Consistent with the company’s efforts to enable a greener future for everyone, more than 225,000 pounds of construction materials were recycled and diverted from landfills.

Pall was recently named to Newsweek’s premiere list of the “greenest companies in America.” Pall ranked second in the Industrial Goods category and 47th among the 500 largest companies in the U.S. Environmentalism is increasingly becoming a key consideration for business and investment decisions around the world.
