QinetiQ North America Introduces Maintenance Management System

QinetiQ North America; Spectro, Inc.

QinetiQ North America, a global developer of innovative technology solutions, on August 10 announced that its subsidiary, Spectro Inc., has introduced SpectroTrack, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) optimized for real-time machine condition monitoring. The software provides the user with data to make maintenance decisions based on machine condition, increasing the availability of key assets, reducing unscheduled maintenance by detecting and correcting problems before major failures occur and extending oil drain intervals and equipment life. The net benefit is the ability to maximize the use of maintenance resources to meet operational, safety and profitability goals.

SpectroTrack is fully integrated with the Spectro Inc. product line including the Spectroil Q100 Oil Analysis Spectrometer, the SpectroLNF Q200 Particle Shape Classifier and Particle Counter, the SpectroVISC Q300 Viscometer, the FluidScan Handheld Lubricant Condition Monitor and the SpectroFTIR Q400 Oil Degradation & Contamination Analyzer. The software also includes the ability to store vibration, thermographic and performance data. The database records asset information relating to scheduling, service intervals, maintenance notes, locations, status, supporting documents, etc. Additional interfaces as well as manual data entry from non-Spectro instruments are also available to provide a comprehensive record of all data related to the asset. The user can set automatic alarms for data that exceed trends or levels.

SpectroTrack runs as a web-based application. Users can access all necessary functionality through the Internet using a standard Web browser as well as browser-enabled cell phones and PDAs. SpectroTrack is unique in that it is CMMS software designed specifically for the in-service oil analysis laboratory and actually duplicates the routine tasks of the laboratory and the assets being monitored.
