Hydac recently introduced a new tank solution for hydraulic systems with an integrated, hydraulically driven degassing and dewatering unit.
The OXiStop incorporates an integrated membrane to prevent direct contact with ambient air. The membrane keeps fluid "vacuum packed" with a very low gas and water content. The membrane's closed system also allows the unit to be installed in extremely dusty or humid environments.
With the OXiStop, increased oil service life is possible due to 80 percent less oxygen content and reduced contaminant ingression (solid, liquid and gaseous). Other benefits include decreased oil volume and reduced noise.
The tank, which is designed for the actual differential operating volume needed, also features a smaller size. The size required by the OXiStop can be calculated based on the actual volume differences of cylinders, accumulators, etc., that can occur within a system. The pump flow rate is not important for the tank design.
Hydac offers three standard sizes of the OXiStop for a differential operating volume up to 70 liters. Customer-specific solutions are also available.
The unit can be equipped with an optional return-line filter or water/oil cooler as well as with the AquaSensor AS and the ContaminationSensor CS.
