Multi-pass Filtration Performance Test Stand (10-50 gpm)

The multi-pass filtration performance test stand is used to evaluate the filtration performance of a fluid filter in accordance with ANSI Standard B93.31-1973 and ISO 4572. This test stand is a self-contained unit that incorporates fluid reservoirs and filter test systems. Doors in front, sides, and back permit access to the stand interior for inspection and maintenance.

This test stand consists of three circuits

1.  Circuit 1 (System Circuit) is a main filter test circuit capable of supplying a controlled flow rate of 10-50 gpm (38-190 lpm) at a maximum filter differential pressure of 150 psid (6.8 bar).

2.  Circuit 2 (Injection Circuit) is a contaminant injection system capable of injecting a controlled contaminant slurry into the filter test system at variable flow rates (0.25-1.0 liter/min). The system is capable of injection for over 200 minutes. This flow is indicated by a rotameter. Circuits 1 and 2 each contain an independent clean-up circuit consisting of housings containing two filter elements. The recommended filter elements should exhibit an average 10-micrometer filtration ratio in excess of 500 and an ACFTD capacity of over 350 grams.

3.  Circuit 3 (Fill/Drain Circuit) is a fluid transfer system capable of filling the systems at the rate of approximately 4.0 gpm (15 lpm). The fluid storage reservoir has a volume of approximately 115 liters (30 gallons).

This stand can also serve as the filter test system and contaminant injection system for ISO 16889 by connecting the upstream and downstream sampling ports of the test filter to an automatic particle counting system

Calibration Fluid Maker

Calibration fluid is necessary to validate a particle counter or used in component endurance tests under a specific contamination level, such as SAE 9. A clean-up filter removes any particulates from the hydraulic fluid to provide a baseline clean starting condition. Measured amounts of particulates are then added to the volume and mixed by a second circuit to create precise calibration fluid. The fluid is made in batches of up to 60 liters.

ATM Sonic Sifter L3P Series E with Horizonal Pulse Accessory

The sifter combines two motions to provide a precise particle separation-a vertical oscillating column of air and a repetitive mechanical pulse to move the material through the sieve. The vertical pulse is combined with the optional horizontal pulse to more quickly and thoroughly sift the material. Sieves can be used to sift particles and dust from 5 to 5600 microns depending on the sieves used. Included are sieves ranging from 2800 to 5 microns with original ATM manuals and literature. We have 29 sieves with specifications upon request.
