Ultrachem Inc. has received certification that the company's food-grade synthetic lubricants, oils and greases meet the requirements of halal certification as established by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA). IFANCA halal certification provides an independent, third-party quality step, assuring food processors that a company's products meet stringent hygiene and sanitation standards in their manufacture.
"With halal certification, Ultrachem further enhances our portfolio of quality certifications," said Bob Whiting, president of Ultrachem. "In adding to our NSF, kosher and GOST-R endorsements, we've verified the global reach of our product family of synthetic greases and lubricants."
Utrachem's Omnilube food-grade products meet all of the requirements of the USDA and FDA H-1 regulations, 21 CFR 178.3570, and conform to the requirements of NSF. They are also approved by the Orthodox Union for kosher use. Recently, the company's synthetic lubricants, oils and greases were certified to the requirements of Russian GOST-R for use in industrial and food-grade applications.
Ultrachem, an ISO 2001-2008 certified company, currently exports ultra-premium synthetic lubricants to more than 30 countries worldwide.
