Spectro Analytical Instruments recently introduced its latest inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) for condition monitoring laboratories, oil blenders and industrial laboratories.

The updated version of the Spectro Genesis analyzer is designed to provide factory-calibrated method packages for a variety of industrial applications, including wastewater, sludge, soil, fuel and wear metals/additives in oil.

The new laterally diffused metal-oxide semiconductor generator can deliver up to 1,700 watts of power for a faster warmup time, excellent matrix compatibility and a longer lifespan. The solid-state generator allows the system to be ready to analyze in less than 10 minutes for most applications. Unlike traditional power sources, the generator also has no parts that are subject to wear.

The air-cooled system operates without external cooling for low running costs. It can achieve rapid sample cycle times of 90 seconds or less, independent of the number of elements to be analyzed. Up to 320 samples can be analyzed in an eight-hour time frame. The system can also analyze samples in lower dilutions for lower limits of detection.

The analyzer comes with a full complement of factory-installed methods and procedures for instant use. The sturdy, lightweight aluminum construction is engineered to fit standard laboratory benchtops.
