Lubricant manufacturer Fuchs recently announced that it has acquired Zimmark, a service company based in Ontario, Canada, offering value-added services in the lubricants and chemicals process management (CPM) space. The transaction went into effect on Nov. 1, 2019.
In 2018, Zimmark generated more than $4.4 million in sales, all of which was in North America. The company currently employs 60 people. The business will operate as a separate chemicals process management division of Fuchs’ North American industrial business.
With the acquisition, Fuchs will expand its service portfolio in the industrial lubricant market and deploy Zimmark’s processes where applicable throughout its other global divisions. Fuchs has already stated plans to use Zimmark’s Technical Process Management (Z-TPM) as a nucleus to grow the service component of its business in the United States.
“Today’s larger, sophisticated customers are looking for an integrated partnership with their lubricant supplier inclusive of a service offering complimenting a fluid solution to their challenges,” said Keith Brewer, president and CEO of Fuchs Lubricants Co. “The acquisition, and especially the Zimmark team, will significantly enlarge our service offering capability to existing business along with offering value-added services to new customers using Fuchs’ marketplace presence.”
