WHITE PAPER:
Simple Ways to Comply with EPA Spill Regulations
The EPA’s Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) regulations require many facilities to create plans to prevent the discharge of oil into national waters. Unlike other spill response or contingency plans that only detail the steps to be taken after a spill, SPCC plans also focus on proactive measures that the facility will take to prevent spills and discharges. Being prepared for spills is part of a complete SPCC plan. Stocking the appropriate spill response equipment and providing proper training for all employees are essential preparations under this regulation.
