WHITE PAPER:
Why Contamination Control is Critical to Equipment Longevity
It is important to keep in mind that new oil is not clean oil. All new oils should be filtered to at least an ISO code of 16/15/13 or better to reduce new oil wear. This paper describes how adding a filter within a ball mill lubrication system led to a 90-percent drop in particles and a cleanliness level that was cleaner than new oil. This resulted in fewer oil changes, less wear, reduced downtime and a savings of more than $4,000 per year
