Measurement Types in Machinery Monitoring

Online machinery monitoring for rotating equipment is generally divided into two categories: protection monitoring and prediction monitoring. The type of monitoring that is applied depends on the asset’s criticality and the maintenance philosophy of the company that runs the asset.
