Alemite recently introduced its new Model 8592 used fluid drain for collecting fluids from beneath lift-mounted vehicles. Developed for use with diaphragm pumps and other used fluid collection and transfers systems, the unit is ideal for multi-bay shops and applications or environments where movement is restricted.
The Model 8592's portable, upright design features a 26-gallon (98-liter) reservoir molded from high-strength, chemical-resistant polyethylene for lighter weight, reduced corrosion and lower risk of damage to surrounding vehicles. Its 18-inch offset funnel includes a removable metal filter screen and secondary debris screen. The funnel height can be adjusted from 53 to 79 inches (135 to 200 cm).
The reservoir is supported by two 4-inch ball-bearing swivel casters and two 10-inch fixed-axle wheels selected for their size, durability and resistance to shop chemicals. The reservoir also provides large, recessed pockets for convenient tool and used filter storage.
A strategically located diaphragm pump can be used to transfer fluids from the collection equipment to a remote storage location. The Model 8592 also features a 3/4-inch male cam-lock connector, which extends directly from the top of the reservoir for easy connection to a fluid transfer system.
